The MAUC project represents the last link of a path started with the projects: SIUC, SILP and QUALITY OF LIFE STUDY IN WOUND CARE. AIUC projects, to which all of us have dedicated time and energy, succeeding for each project to collect very interesting and useful data to make us understand many aspects of the social welfare models that gravitate in the world of Wound Care. We better understand the care needs of LCC patients and the structural deficiencies that are present in our SSN.
Deficiencies that arise from the failure to include the treatment of patients with skin ulcers in the Essential Levels of Care (LEA).
These considerations led us to develop the SOS (Study Health Organization) project that aims to investigate the level of health organization in our country. The data that emerged, even if in a partial way, show a strong lack of effective and efficient care paths in the treatment of patients with LCC. At the same time, the data processed by the Ministry of Health show a limited use of advanced dressings during the treatment path of these patients; despite the Regions call for tenders for the purchase and supply of advanced dressings.
WHY IS THIS SCARCE USE?
To better understand the reasons, AIUC decided to start this path of knowledge, evaluating the degree of competence of its members in using Advanced Dressings. A choice of seriousness, necessary to be able to search in a correct and harmless way, the causes that determine the scarce use.
THE MAUC PROJECT HAS THIS PRECISE OBJECTIVE
We are sure that you have understood the reasons behind the project, and we hope that there will be broad support.
THE PROJECT IS EXCLUSIVELY FOR AIUC MEMBERS.
The MAUC, like the other AIUC projects, is based on the completion of an electronic questionnaire, located on a platform owned by AIUC.
Before proceeding you need to read the technical methods of filling in the questionnaire.
